01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Nestled conveniently inside a Valero gas station at 780 W Hurst Blvd in Hurst, TX, Taqueria Las 3 Coronas is a shining gem for lovers of authentic Mexican tacos and traditional dishes. Despite its unassuming location, this taco restaurant serves up an impressive menu that has quickly won over locals and visitors alike.

The culinary focus here is firmly rooted in Mexican flavors, featuring popular dishes that burst with freshness and vibrant seasoning. Breakfast tacos take center stage—crisply wrapped, perfectly seasoned, and far from greasy, they offer a comforting yet exciting start to the day. The Huevos Estrellados Con Salsa De Molcajete (Sunny Side Up Eggs with Molcajete Sauce) deliver a perfect balance of rich egg yolks and smoky, spicy sauce, setting the tone for a genuinely memorable meal.

For lunch or dinner, the Enchiladas Verdes, with their tangy, chile-infused green sauce, and the hearty Parrillada grill platter, priced reasonably at $17.99, invite diners to indulge in a satisfying taste experience. Seafood lovers will appreciate the Camarones A La Plancha (Grilled Shrimp), celebrated by one satisfied customer for its delicious cost and flavors. Meanwhile, the Gorditas De Revoltillo Verde Y Rojo, stuffed with green and red scrambled fillings, offer a tantalizing synthesis of spice and texture at an unbeatable price.

The dining atmosphere is casual and welcoming, enhanced by the friendly staff who create a sense of community within this modest space. Customers repeatedly praise not only the food but also the warm service, making each visit feel like a personalized experience. One longtime patron highlights how the gas station attendant is both kind and engaging, adding a genuine touch to the dining experience.

Though it might be easy to overlook given its location, Taqueria Las 3 Coronas commands respect for its quality, freshness, and authenticity. Patrons rave about the superior price-to-quality ratio, and the food’s authenticity truly shines through—from the expertly stacked tacos al pastor to the flavorful salsas that complement every bite.

For those exploring Hurst or simply craving a slice of Mexico’s culinary heritage, this taqueria offers a compelling invitation to savor bold flavors in an unpretentious, cozy setting. Taqueria Las 3 Coronas proves that exceptional Mexican food doesn’t need to come from a fancy restaurant—just great ingredients, skillful preparation, and a love for sharing good food with everyone who stops by.

The breakfast tacos are ridiculously good and not greasy (which is pretty common with some of the nearby places), and not expensive at all. I have 5 or 6 places nearby that offer the same breakfast tacos, but I prefer to go here every time. Don't let the fact that it's in a gas station deter you from stopping. Their trompo tacos are pretty good, too. My *only* complaint is that they stacked the tacos on each other, instead of next to each other. But that's hardly worth knocking a new spot for. Super friendly people, too!
